The Pakistan Super League clash was made or made to be the defining moment of a very exciting Pakistan Super League game at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday as Ali Raza hat-trick PSL 11 Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi took a charge at a batting lineup as good as that of the Karachi team.
PSL 11 Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi Ali Raza hat-trick PSL 11 Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi commenced with Karachi Kings having set a competitive 182/9 in its 20 overs. The bowlers ultimately turned the tide of the game despite a strong batting performance, by Jason Roy and Azam Khan.
Karachi began with a positive start as openers David Warner and Jason Roy formed a stable partnership. But that was early hit by Peshawar Zalmi as Ali Raza destroyed the first stand by throwing out Warner on 11. He was crisp and accurate in his delivery and struck the stumps and instantly pressed the batting side.
Roy kept on anchoring the innings and gave a fluent knock with Salman Ali Agha supporting him and giving him helpful runs. Karachi passed the 50-run mark without any hassle and was on the verge of a huge score. However, Zalmi bowlers continued to hit at the most crucial times to reduce the pace of scoring.
The twist struck once more, as Aaron Hardie sent Salman Ali Agha back 12 notches, further cementing the grip of control that Zalmi had over the innings. Though Roy got to his ninth PSL half-century, wickets kept falling in between.
The best moment, though, was the fantastic hat-trick that Ali Raza played and which totally changed the dynamics of the game. He was the star of the night as he was able to perform under pressure against the best international batters.
