India, the 2016 champions, beat their arch-rivals Pakistan by seven wickets in the sixth match of the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Pakistan chose to bat first and scored 127 runs in their 20 overs, thanks to Sahibzada Farhan’s brave knock and Shaheen Shah Afridi’s late surge. Farhan was still the top scorer for Pakistan, hitting 40 runs off 40 balls, including three sixes and a four. Shaheen hit four sixes on his way to a 16-ball 33.
India easily batted down the little score, losing only three wickets and having 25 balls left. Even though they lost, Pakistan stayed in second place with two points from two matches with a net run rate of 1.649.
