England Name Unchanged Squad For Final Test

England Squad To Remain Unchanged for Sunday’s Test Match. England’s squad is unchanged for their final Test match on Sunday. England have maintained the same XI for the third and final Test against Pakistan, having a 2-0 edge in the three-match series.

In the final match of the Test series at Edgbaston in Birmingham from September 9 to 13, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the 16-member squad on Wednesday. Fast bowler Brydon Carse is still not part of the squad for the second Test at Lord’s as an investigation into a nightclub incident rocks him. This has been the case until now, when Sonny Baker is set to stay.

A video emerged that seemed to capture Carse being held by police outside a nightclub in Derby, prompting the ECB to refer the case to the Cricket Regulator. The ECB previously referred the case to the Cricket Regulator after it emerged a video of Carse outside a nightclub in Derby appeared to show him being held by police. This was followed by confirmation from the regulator that it will investigate the incident.

Matthew Fisher has also been dropped from the squad for the last Test. The 28-year-old was a regular part of England’s squad for the opening Test series against Pakistan but didn’t make it to either of the first two games.

Instead, England had to go to Josh Tongue, Ollie Robinson, Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson in the first two Tests. The home side has already won both games of the series comprehensively, and it would be a 3-0 scoreline for Pakistan if they were to fall to their hosts at Edgbaston.
