Matches between India and Pakistan T20 world cup are usually full of emotion, pressures and worldwide focus. This time the difference between the two teams could not be overlooked. India sailed to a massive victory and Pakistan was once again under scrutiny as to direction and choice.
India had a competitive score of 175, 7 at the R Premadasa stadium. This was enabled by the fearless strike of Ishan Kishan who hit 77 in a quick time limit. His dismissal was partly put under control by the spinners of Pakistan but it was too late.

The response of the cricketing voices in Pakistan was harsh and outspoken. Test star Mohammad Yousuf demanded responsibility and new faces. He clearly doubted the persistence of old age players following their frequent losses to the top players.
Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja gave attention to the batting failure. He indicated that India have over the years employed the same bowling attack but batters in Pakistan have not been much improved or adapted.
Ex-opener, Ahmed Shehzad, was also critical of choices of the team and requested they to change it immediately before they hit the field.
This lost was not just a loss. It pointed to the growing disparity between Indian and Pakistani planning, performance as well as mentality in T20 cricket.
