His strange move has made Tariq noticed and was inspired by the former India captain, MS Dhoni. The 6ft off-spinner has caused batting troubles to others during the tournament and has claimed five wickets in two games and 11 wickets in four T20 games. Yadav talked about the preparation towards Tariq but he compared it to having to prepare to face any kind of question on an exam. He is another personality, but we are not giving up. India is prepared to face unconventional threats, and we have been practicing, and the team is extremely excited, Yadav said.
This is not the first time that Tariq has been questioned about his action. The reaction of Cameron Green during the T20I tour of Pakistan to Australia also cast doubts on his bowling. Tariq however was cleared in past examinations under PSL 9 and PSL 10. He has clarified that the inherent curve of his elbows may seem strange but is not the case of unlawful behavior.
Based on strategy, the strategy of India will be to select shots in a disciplined manner and reduce the number of risky strokes in the first half of an innings. The fact that Tariq is a volatile character also gives the traditional India-Pakistan rivalry a strategic twist and the game is all the more exciting to the spectators.
