Pakistan Lowest Total Against India

Pakistan’s Pakistan lowest total in women’s T20Is was recorded against arch-rivals India on Saturday as the Green Shirts were bowled out for just 55 in the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026.

In the first innings, Pakistan put on a good start at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium with the efforts of openers Muneeba Ali and Shawaal Zulfiqar. The pair put up 27 runs in the initial five overs, creating a chance for Pakistan to set up a competitive total. India however, soon turned the game around.

Shafali Verma played 13 runs off 15 balls, taking Muneeba for the breakthrough and the opener could manage only one boundary. The opener was dismissed for 14 in the next over when Shawaal was bowled by Shree Charani. Early dismissals brought about a spectacular Pakistan collapse. Gull Feroza got caught for a duck before the rest of the batting order got bowled out by India’s bowlers.

Pakistan got all their last seven wickets for 26 runs in the match with captain Sana also left out. The Green Shirts were eventually dismissed for 55 in 18.1 overs. The total was Pakistan women’s lowest in T20I cricket with a previous record low score of 56 against New Zealand in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 at the same venue in Dubai.

It also marked a new low for India. Feeding off their anxiety, Pakistan had just hit 63 in their previous two match-up against Bangladesh in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, held in Guangzhou, China back in 2012.

After the promising start to the partnership, India’s disciplined bowling attack found Pakistan’s loopholes, making the task of the Green Shirts in the Asia Cup clash daunting.

The 55-run figure was among the trickiest days for Pakistan as they will now need to get back on track after a bad day in T20 cricketing history.
