In Pakistan vs Bangladesh ODI, Pakistan demonstrated a dominating performance since they won the second ODI by the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) system by 128 runs in the rainy second ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket stadium.
Maaz Sadaqat had a stand out performance in the match in allround action, both with the bat and ball. Sadaqat was again at his quick best of 75 runs to assist Pakistan in setting a good total before taking three wickets to end the chase of Bangladesh.
A heavy downfall and a sudden hailstorm gave a new target of 243 runs in 32 overs to the Bangladesh but after a long time the game was resumed. The hosts however, were too slow to begin with and later fell apart with only 114 runs in 23.3 overs.
The other batting line up failed to form partnerships because of the disciplined bowling attack used by Pakistan, and instead, Litton Das attempted to give resistance with a short attack knock.
There was already poor performance in Bangladesh before the weather halt. Tanzid Hasan was caught off backward square leg and dismissed in one run only after getting caught by Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Shortly later Saif Hassan got 12 and gave Mohammad Wasim Jr. a catch in short mid-off. The initial situation was maintained when a Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto got bowled out by Afridi without any score.
Already Bangladesh was not doing very well at 27 for 3 in only 6.3 overs, yet the storm obliged players off the field. Having had a substantial break, Pakistan remained in charge and soon ended the innings.
The persuasive victory provides Pakistan with an excellent momentum in the ODI series since their bowlers and all-rounders performed a full circle.
