Saim Ayub has also taken the top role in the ICC Men all-rounder rankings in the T20 I rankings with his breathtaking performance in the T20 World Cup 2026. Performing as a Pakistan star, he made both the fans and the critics laugh when he took three wickets against India in Colombo, an act that became very critical to his team.
The ascension of Ayub follows the close match with the Sikandar Raza of Zimbabwe. The T20I all-rounder rankings are quite competitive, as both players have been exchanging the first place in the past several months. Ayub also played consistently in his batting and bowling, thus, defeating Raza and returning to the premier status. Raza now sits in second place.
Current rankings update also witnessed significant improvement of Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee and Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omarzai. Airee and Omarzai advanced by two and four positions respectively, to be tied in the fourth position. This demonstrates the growing talent of T20 cricket beyond traditional strengths.
Other categories also experienced a lot of movement. Pathum Nissanka of Sri Lanka gained three positions to be ranked number three among batters with a century against Australia. India jumped 17 places to be number eight following his 77-run performance against Pakistan. Ryan Rickelton of South Africa improved by 22 places to 11 th and Aiden Markram moved up six places to number 15 th. Jacob Bethell of England and Saiteja Mukkamalla of USA also achieved great gains.
On the bowler rankings, Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan narrowly overtook the top bowlers in India, getting one step higher in the overall ranking to the second place.
