The Hundred will put pressure on England preparations of Test against Pakistan scheduled in 2026. The home competition will end on August 17, which will leave England with a very narrow time before the first Test with Pakistan begins on August 19 at Headingley.
Recently, the England and Wales Cricket Board revealed the complete list of events of the sixth edition of The Hundred. The tournament will be held between July 21 and August 16 and there might be a reserve day on August 17. The league has received a clean cut of international calendar.
The cost of this window is however expensive. The two-and-a-half days available to England players will be just enough to change their mindset to concentrate on red-ball Tests rather than white-ball cricket. When the final utilizes the reserve, the difference will reduce further.
